Ace Ventura is a fictional character created by Jack Bernstein. The character is best known for his eccentric personality and unorthodox methods as a pet detective.
Ace Ventura's first appearance was in the 1994 film, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, starring Jim Carrey, who brought the character to life with his physical comedy and improvisational skills.
Following the success of the first movie, Ace Ventura returned in Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995), again played by Jim Carrey. The character also appeared in an animated TV series. Jim Carrey did not provide the voice for the cartoon.
